Getting to Know: Kerry
Kerry “Care Bear” is a mother of 3 first and foremost. They are her greatest gifts; such as the gifts of growing up in a tight knit family in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Growing up, Kerry climbed trees with her father and her 2 brothers, as well as catching tadpoles, gathering quartz rocks and riding bikes on dirt roads with the neighborhood kids Kerry has had many experiences and wonderful role models who garnered strength in her.
Kerry is self taught in the ways of her art and in fact, one of her arts includes the joy of taking photos of everyday or unique items that she comes across in her travels and gives off a feel that has some meaning and symbolism to her and her World.
Appreciating the profoundness and therapeutic nature that is Art; there is a plethora of inspiration for Kerry. A lot of her inspiration comes from the beauty and design of nature: Life, Love, Her Faith and Hope, Divinity and Courage with a penchant for affecting Social Change with deep meanings.
Art is so very personal to Kerry. Believe it or not; there was a time when she told herself she could not draw, but her daughter asked her to draw a dog and like any mom she did not want to disappoint her.She she drew the dog. Kerry may use a variety of materials. “I love to press flowers and use them in my art. I used sidewalk chalk to create the artwork that is currently on display.” -Kerry
There is so much beauty around us that people often take for granted. My goals are to change the world and people's perspective of it for the better. I want for there to be peace, love and happiness for all people, for all places and all things. For everyone in the entire universe to get along and coexist peacefully and happily.
I want to eradicate injustice, racism, inequality and the negative things that affect the world and peoples lives, currently “houseless”; “I would love to own a large house, with top of the line luxury everything and to share my home and space with as many other people as I can. I want to end homelessness hopelessness and helplessness; I always have and will continue to do so.
“I want for all people to have what they want and what they need, always.” —Kerry
