Eric Kopchia (002-2020)

This paint acrylic picture best describes the wild creatures in the wild new India in the forests. The tiger must eat to live, so its stripes cleverly blend into the landscape that surrounds its presence. The sun is reflected off the trees, the river and the folia across it. This best describes my research project when I was in Northern Michigan UP near the Wisconsin border. The creatures that I had to be aware of were bears, cougars, wolves, coyotes, moose, elks and snakes. When doing research in the area (2004-2020) I was there from early May to Sept - Oct of every year.
