This colored pencil artwork describes in vivid detail how life moves about in mountain terrain. The fox is busy and so are the deer. This is late fall when, male deer have antlers for the mating season. The colored rock mountains and two spring elks are both connected to each other. The rock ledge is made of several forms of granite slightly weathered.
The last time I was in this area was (June-July) 1986. I was out there for 2 months. I took several photos of the area, but this colored pencil drawing describes it best.
